The integrated upper and lower limit switches significantly extend the lifespan of the slipping clutch, motor, and gearbox. The CPV is equipped with electromagnetic spring pressure brakes that hold the load safely, even in the event of a power failure. Another notable feature of the CPV hoist is its externally adjustable slip clutch, designed to ensure a permanent connection between the load and the brake. Mainline contactors, fitted as standard, offer increased safety.

Any additional height of lift is available; the standard is 3m, and additional heights are sold in complete metres only. Standard hoists at 3m are supplied with a 2m pendant cable. As the lifting height increases, the pendant cable length will be adjusted pro-rata. The hoist body can be fitted with a raincoat, with three sizes available to suit all hoist sizes. Powered trolley raincoats are also available, but only up to a 2-tonne capacity. The Yale CPV can also be supplied with a large hoist frame. These top electric hoists have capacities of 1000kg and 2000kg. The 1-tonne Yale CPV large-framed hoist comes with a fast lifting speed of 8m per minute in the single-speed option and 8m or 2m on the dual-speed option. The 2-tonne Yale CPV hoist is supplied with a standard speed of 4m per minute on the single-speed model and 4m or 1m per minute on the dual-speed electric hoist option.

A standard suspension point for all electric chain hoists is the Top Hook Suspension Electric Chain Hoist. This style is the easiest to fit, as it simply hooks onto the suspension point already provided, which could be a fixed beam clamp, an existing beam trolley, or a Jib crane from the ULS range. When a hoist is fitted with a top hook suspension, it can be easily installed and removed as needed.

The next suspension fitting is the Top Lug Suspension Electric Chain Hoist, which is ideal when space is restricted. A lug is more compact than a top hook, allowing you to save valuable space. Another advantage of using a Top Lug fitting is that it is better suited for permanent installations. These hoists are not easily removed without tools, making them less portable.

If you require the hoist to move along a runway beam or I-Beam, the Yale CPV Hoist can be supplied already fitted to a push travel trolley. This is the perfect option for new installations on a beam or an I-Beam-style Jib Crane. The addition of a push travel trolley enhances the hoist's portability along the beam, and the easy-roll rollers make it simple to move a load along the factory with the aid of the electric hoist.

Lastly, the CPV Electric Chain Hoists can be fitted to either a single-speed or dual-speed electric travel trolley. This style of electric hoist, combined with an electric trolley, alleviates the physical effort required from the operator, as the hoist will raise or lower the load and propel it along the factory or across the gantry arm. All controls are managed from the supplied encapsulated pendant control. For safety reasons, the supply cable to the pendant operates at a low voltage of 42V, and the pendant is rated IP65 for protection against dust and water.
