How Does a Swing Jib Crane Work?

A standard swing jib crane consists of two main parts: the main column and the jib arm. The arm can rotate left and right, with a standard slewing (swinging) angle of 270°. For all our swing jib cranes up to 1,000kg, the arm can rotate smoothly without the need for powered assistance, helping to keep costs low. The arm on ULS lifting jib cranes comes with an integral trolley that moves along the full length of the jib arm. This trolley provides the flexibility to reach into tight corners of your factory with ease.

Installation

As mentioned, the over-braced jib crane with base plate is easy to install. Once installed and the hoist is fitted, the final steps are commissioning, testing, and signing off the crane as safe for use.
