The 1,000kg SWL Column Jib Crane, complete with Electric Chain Hoist kits, is proudly manufactured in the UK. This Column Mounted Jib Crane comes equipped with a high-quality 400-volt Electric Chain Hoist that fits directly onto the Jib Arm, saving you the hassle of selecting a compatible hoist. Ideal for situations where you need a crane securely mounted to an existing column, pillar, or stanchion within your building, this 1-tonne column jib crane offers flexibility with an arm length ranging from 2m to 6m. The arm is designed to slew through 180°, providing a broad working area.

Please note: Anti-slip measures must be taken to ensure the Jib Arm does not slip or move along the column it is attached to. The arm is pre-fitted with a trolley, simplifying the process of connecting your hoist, spring balancer, or vacuum lifter.

How Does a 1,000kg SWL Column Jib Crane with Electric Chain Hoist Work?

A standard swing jib crane consists of two main parts: the arm and the mounting brackets. The arm can rotate left to right and vice versa, with a standard swing or slew angle of 180°. All of our swing jibs up to 1,000kg can slew easily without powered assistance, keeping costs down.

The arm comes with an integral push travel trolley, which moves along the full length of the arm. This provides flexibility, allowing you to reach the corners of your factory with ease.

What Else Is Required for a 1,000kg Column Jib Crane?

Once your swing jib is installed, you'll need a hoist, vacuum lifter, or spring/tool balancer. These can be easily attached to the trolley provided with the jib crane arm. The next step is choosing the right hoist. While a manual hoist is the cheapest option, it requires more effort and can be slow, especially for larger items where the hoist chain may be hard to reach.
