The Steerman Industrial Toe Jack - Now rebadged as the STEERMAN BVA HYDRAULIC TOE JACK. A quality manufactured hydraulic jack with a lifting toe, designed for working in confined spaces. Typical uses for this style of jack are lifting heavy machinery or containers off the floor ready for moving skates/systems to be positioned underneath. Also used for Lifting and positioning fabricated steel structures such as pressure vessels and other general engineering applications.

These jacks are an ideal partner for our range of Steerman moving systems and skates.

Due to their design -

1 - The jack base plate is slimline - creating an extremely low entry height - clearance required for the 3-tonne HTJ is only 16mm.

2 - These jacks can lift by either using the Toe for low height / restricted spaces or using the head of the jack for taller objects.

A big plus point for the HTJ Steerman jack is that the lifting capacity is the same for both the claw (toe) and the head.

1 - Lifting Capacity of 3,000kg, 6000kg, and 10,000kg on both the head and the toe

Maintenance • Keep the jack clean, especially protect him from sand and water • Lubricate all gliding and moving parts thoroughly. Checking oil level Check the oil level regularly by retracting the piston fully, placing the jack in a vertical position and carefully removing the rubber oil-filler plug. The oil level should be up to the hole with the jack in a vertical position. Top-up as necessary, but do not over-fill. Replace the rubber oil-filler plug. Only use high-quality Yale hydraulic oil to Class ISO 32.

The definition of lifting equipment and accessories used in LOLER makes it clear that Jacks including hydraulic Toe Jacks are lifting equipment. Therefore all lifting jacks must be inspected at least annually not exceeding 12 months by a competent person. Adverse working conditions may dictate shorter inspection periods.
