Stretcher Cage / Man Rescue Basket from Eichinger Equipment Limited Model SC 1075

Craneable Stretcher Cage (2 Person) c/w Chain Main features - Designed and manufactured as a Crane Evacuation Stretcher Cage. Fitted with single entry / exit door one one end only of the fully enclosed meshed cage, which permits an able bodied person or first aider to enter or exit the rescue cage with or without a stretcher. Designed for one stretcher and one extra able bodied person only. Supplied with four leg lifting chains fully captivated onto the cage (rated at 10/1 ratio for safety). Paint finish for the rescue cage is white with high visual signage.

FULLY complies with BS EN 14502-1 and PM28.

Specially Designed for confined spaces.

Solid Side walls up to wait height.

Integral harness / lanyard points fitted as standard.

Up and Over door.

How to use the Crane evacuation Stretcher Cage

Ensure the chain sling being used to lift the unit is of the correct rating and is full certified. A chain is supplied with this cage and we suggest that all chains for personnel cages are used only for this specific purpose.

Intended personnel should only attempt to enter the unit when it is full grounded and have been given the “all-clear” from the crane operator or banks man.

The door can be lifted in an ‘up and over’ fashion.

Once the intended users are in the unit, ensure the door is fully closed. If personnel are wearing harnesses/lanyards attach the lanyard to the overhead anchor points.

Always ensure that the load being lifted (including personnel) does not exceed the maximum capacity of the unit.

Also check that the load being lifted is secure and even.

We advise that communication between the hoist operator & user of the cage, is efficient at all times either via radio or where necessary a third person as a guide.
