What is the difference between the tipping skips that Ultimate Lifting Solutions Ltd supplies?

The key difference between the tipping skips lies in the material they are made from. Our Standard Forklift Tipping Skips are manufactured in the UK from 3mm high-quality steel plate, while the Heavy Duty Tipping Skips are made from a thicker 5mm steel plate. The advantage of the standard DTS Tipping Skip is that it is lighter, making it easier to manoeuvre around the factory or site. This makes it better suited for use with smaller forklifts. On the other hand, the HDI Heavy Duty Industrial Tipping Skip, made from a heavier gauge steel plate, is more robust and ideal for construction sites where larger or heavier waste products are expected.

What are the design differences between a standard skip and a heavy-duty tipping skip?

The DTS Tipping Skip is designed with a folded back lip around the entire bucket area. This double-folded lip adds extra strength to the skip, helping it retain its shape for longer. This makes the DTS model particularly suitable for construction sites, factories, and other environments where waste products like steel, rubble, bricks, roof slates, insulation materials, wood, and plasterboard are handled.
